Home sales are in a slump in Yamhill County, as they are virtually everywhere in the country. But sales are holding up better for lower-cost manufactured homes than for traditional site-built homes, manufacturing and sales outlets report.

Economic woes mean manufactured home sales spike
While much of the housing industry continues to struggle, companies that make modular and manufactured homes say their sales are up. At Oakwood Homes in Greensboro sales are up 28 percent since last year.
